How To Handle Haters As An Entrepreneur

Have you ever dealt with the haters?

You know…. those pesky people who just love to pick at your deepest darkest fears about yourself? I want to tell you a story about when I literally handed my haters an excuse to trash me like an empty bag of DORITOS.

It wasn't that long ago that I was anxious to show up online as my weird, awkward self. I had a hard time speaking in my authentic voice and I really wanted to share my expertise with my tribe, but oh friends, the struggle was REAL!

I questioned myself constantly and asked, “Who am I to teach? I JUST started my business!”

The day I finally put myself out there and left my comfort zone, I made one little mistake describing what lens I used and the haters came out faster than a kid trying to collect his candy on Halloween!

It wasn't until I committed to putting my followers first that I finally got over my fears, my doubts, and most importantly I got over myself.

  • Why are you even here?
  • You shouldn't be talking when you don't know what you're talking about.
  • You don’t even know what lens you're using!

Oh Buttercup, this is not even the worst of it… and ALL of this was publicly online.

Friend, I went into a dark hole because it had finally happened…they found me out! They exposed all my worst fears.

I did what anyone would do in this massive embarrassment and I spent the weekend curled up on the couch, devouring Ben & Jerry’s like it was the last bowl of ice cream on the entire planet… because the haters exposed me like I was naked in front of the entire school.

*You know that dream. Everyone's had it!*

After throwing myself a one person pity party, licking my wounds and eventually getting sick from too much sugar, I got off the couch and I kept going.

I realized that there are always going to be haters, but only one of me. Haters are usually after you for a reason, but boo, they can’t do what you can.

The next time you are handling a hater, make the decision to get off the couch, put the Ben & Jerry's away and keep on moving forward.

>>Successful people hear that doubt and they hear negativity from others and turn it into fuel for their internal fire.<<

You are destined for something great, beautiful and strong as long as you stand in your purpose and don't let anybody get in the way of that.

If you've ever dealt with a hater, hear the full story of how I turned that fuel into success >>HERE<<.
